Job Description

We are currently looking to hire a strong Electrical & Instrumentation Shift Technician for one of our key clients who specialise in Industrial Utilities Services within the Central Scotland region.Client DetailsOur client is an Industrial Services and Utilities provider who service clients within Petrochemicals, Speciality Chemicals, Pharma and Waste Services.Description

  • The Electrical & Instrumentation Shift Technician will assist the Maintenance Managers, Operational Managers and Engineers through local delivery of engineering maintenance, configuration management and general support
  • Operating locally on behalf of the maintenance managers, front line delivery of the engineering and maintenance strategies.
  • Demonstrate good Safety Health and Environmental practices working towards zero accidents and environmental incidents participate in safety tours and raise feedback as required to ensure the site is maintained in a safe condition.
  • Provide daily engineering support to the Operational Teams to ensure asset availability consistent with business requirements.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager as required in the management, coaching and development of the apprentices.
  • Carry out planned, breakdown and project maintenance, installation and demolition work using trade skills to maximise asset availability.
  • Manage, implement and commission minor engineering projects and modifications to improve the company assets.
ProfileThe role holder will be time served and have an indentured apprenticeship or will have a minimum of an HNC / SVQ in discipline engineering.
  • COMPEX 1-6 is desirable
  • You will be positively developed toward technical and personal growth and thus must be adaptable, willing and enthusiastic.
  • You will be willing and able to learn, will demonstrate, motivation and drive and will have strong influencing skills to ensure the delivery of required engineering standards in a team environment
  • 18th Edition required
  • Able to commit and work to shift pattern below
Job OfferSalary circa 35k + 10k Shift allowance + benefitsShift pattern;
  • 2 day shifts - 12 hours
  • 2 night shifts -12 hours
  • 4 days off
  • Repeat for 7 cycles, then
  • 18 days off
