Job Description

Contracts Manager - Concrete Repair ServicesJob Title: Contracts Manager - Concrete Repair ServicesIndustry Sector: Concrete Contractor, Specialist Contractor, Contracts Manager, Concrete, Building Contractor, Groundwork Contractor, Light CivilsLocation: Falkirk or surrounding areasArea to be covered: Scotland Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000 + Discretionary Bonus Benefits: Company Car / Car Allowance & Full Benefits PackageThe role of the Contracts Manager - Concrete Repair Services will involve:

  • Contracts Manager position promoting a high quality range of concrete repair services / maintenance
  • Managing all aspects of: surveying, financial, contractual, programming/planning, leadership and communication
  • Having ultimate control over the delivery of multiple complex projects with values circa £3m
  • Managing pre-contract planning and liaison with Estimators
  • Maintaining good working knowledge of current contracts, acts, and legislation
  • Ensuring companys Health and Safety and Integrated Management Systems (IMS) procedures are complied with
  • Responsible for accepting, approving, and issuing contracts and subcontracts
  • Managing all projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Liaising, negotiating, and meeting clients, consulting engineers, surveyors, and sub-contractors
  • Responsible for providing accurate information for regional monthly appraisals and various other reports
  • Assisting with the preparation of quality bids, pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), and other presentations as required
  • Responsible for the recruitment / dismissal off staff for their team
The ideal applicant will be a Contracts Manager - Concrete Repair Services industry with:
  • Must have Contracts Management experience in the civils market sector
  • Ideally will have experience within the concrete sector, however would consider other groundwork & light civils backgrounds
  • Must have experience managing the financial elements of a project
  • Ideally will have civils degree or similar
  • Must have excellent communication and people management skills
  • Confident and articulate
  • Full UK driving license
  • CSCS card
  • High self confidence
  • Wants to take charge and be in control
