Job Description

My client are looking for an Application Support Engineer to be responsible for key business systems and applicationsClient DetailsMy client are a world leading manufacturer with big plans for growthDescription

  • Application support for this role is focused around Engineering IT Systems
  • Looking for someone can manage the technical aspects of the applications installation/day-to-day support, but full training will be given to the successful candidate. Its is not necessary for you have had previous exposure to Engineering applications buthelpful.
  • Resolve calls to the Engineering IT Solutions service desk.
  • Converting Engineering requirements for system enhancements, following the company process, into workable solutions which add value, with an opportunity to expand your skills into Project Management.
  • Resolve compounds issues (Root cause analysis), problems and known errors.
  • Identify and support continuous improvements of other tools and processes used within Design and Engineering in the medium term
Profile
  • Proven experience in 3rd line IT service desk/application support engineer working in a sizable organisation
  • Demonstrated experience of supporting complex business applications on both client and some server side, including the installation and configuration utilising client deployment technologies.
  • Ability to take a problem and work through the issues to get to a successful conclusion, with the support of other team members or 3rd party support organisations
