We are a small, independent agency who are working towards b-corps certification. We love creating purposeful experiences for worthwhile causes and using digital as a force for social and environmental good. We believe that technology has the power to make a difference and we love to work with like-minded people, both in our agency and client-side.Were looking for a developer with solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WordPress. The role requires experience of building websites using WordPress or similar content management system.As part of our development team, youll be taking ideas envisioned by our designers and bringing them to life. Youll be involved in the build of a range of exciting websites and applications, working closely with our design team to craft user-friendly experiences.Youll be keen to learn and to help the agency stay ahead of the curve.Were a small, friendly team who are very down to earth. We have offices in both London and Exmouth, we are happy for you to be based out of either plus take regular opportunities to work from home. Our teams normally work together three days a week, but dayscan be flexible. We pride ourselves on being flexible.We enjoy nice coffee, the occasional pastry, office dogs, countryside walks, beach picnics, cozy pubs, delicious food and singing along to the occasional musicals soundtrack really loudly (admittedly, not everyone likes that part).What youll have... ideally- An understanding of semantic HTML and accessibility- Knowledge of writing CSS using preprocessors such as Sass- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as Vue.js- Experience of working with APIs- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn aspects of, WordPress or Drupal- Attention to detail when crafting quality user interfaces- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team- Experience with build systems such as Webpack and Gulp- Knowledge of using Git and working with repositories to manage parallel development- An interest in experimenting with new web technologies and methods- 2+ years experience working in web developmentExperience Required:- HTML/CSS: 3 years- WordPress: 2 years- JavaScript: 2 yearsWe want to work with great people and we want them to enjoy working with us.
