Job Description

Ref: EDH 14478Payroll AdministratorExmouth (Hybrid)£DOEOur client is a renowned local accountancy practice with a sterling reputation for their proactive and client-focused professional approach. The firm is undergoing a period of sustained growth and as such they are looking for a Payroll Administrator to jointheir expanding Payroll team based out of their Exmouth office.While the preference would be for a full-time candidate, a minimum of 25 hours would be considered for the right candidate.The Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process payrolls for the client portfolio accurately and to strict deadlines, including calculating employee salaries, taxes, and deductions and liaising with HMRC.
  • Manage all payroll-related documentation ensuring client information is kept update.
  • Ensuring time-recording of client work is accurately logged.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to payroll, taxes, and benefits.
  • Handle incoming enquiries related to client pay and benefits, resolving any issues that arise or escalating to the Head of Payroll Services where required.
  • Collaborate with other departments and accounting teams where required.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of changes in payroll legislation and regulations.
The Candidate:
  • Previous experience in payroll administration, along with a strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of payroll software, in particular Sage Payroll. Additional knowledge of Xero Payroll would be desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
