Job Description

To support our small Finance Team to ensure that all processes are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. This is the ideal role for someone looking to develop their career with a growing company that is committed to developing, nurturing and retainingtheir employees.Client DetailsThis Utilities company that is based near Exmouth in the South West of England. They produce biogas through the breakdown of agricultural feedstocks including farm waste, food production by-products and sustainably grown crops. The biogas is processed togenerate renewable gas and electricity.They are looking for someone to join there team on a 3 month contact.DescriptionThe Key responsibilities for the Interim Accounts Assistant are:

  • Assisting the Finance Team with all administrative duties including opening the Accounts Department post and ensuring correspondence or invoices are dealt with appropriately.
  • Answering internal and external telephone calls.
  • To manage the EPOS system to ensure purchases have a completed and valid purchase order before ordering goods and services.
  • Chasing any purchase orders not entered onto the system prior to payment
  • Posting of all invoices promptly and accurately for all SPVs, O&M and Ixora Companies.
  • Allocate invoices to orders or contracts.
  • Investigating any anomalies in invoices and tracking down any missing paperwork.
  • Send out daily bank report
  • Monitor and submit purchase orders for all office and sundry supplies.
  • Filing all invoices with a move to electronic filing of all paperwork
  • Manage the accounts inbox, printing off invoices and dealing with any queries.
  • Dealing with supplier queries promptly and diligently
  • Reconcile supplier statements as and when received.
ProfileThe successful Interim Accounts Assistant will have the following:
  • Be able to learn and follow process quickly and efficiently.
  • Good team working skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

  • To have a lively and outgoing personality
  • To be great communicator
  • To have excellent organisational skills
  • Strong data skills and a good working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office packages
  • Excellent numerical and written skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with guidance is essential
  • Ability to work co-operatively and in collaboration with other stakeholders, partners and colleagues. To provide the Senior Management Team with any information requested.
  • Ability to display a flexible approach to the role with a willingness to learn from others
