Job Description

We currently have a Water Regulations Administrator position available for a motivated individual to join our team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full time, permanent basis you will receive a competitive salary of £17,362 per annum plus benefits.South West Water is part of the Pennon Group, a very successful and stable business which prides itself on sustainability. In return, we offer an excellent range of benefits which include: free car parking at the majority of our sites, company Sharesave Scheme, childcare support, and various health benefits.As our Water Regulations Administrator, youwill provide clerical and administrative support to the Water Regulations Team and provide a level of technical advice to internal and external stakeholders in regard to the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.Responsibilities as our Water Regulations Administrator will include:- Planning and creating lists of relevant retrospective Water Regulations inspections. Entering details in the regulations bespoke database and creating associated Work Requests- Monitoring daily reports and action as appropriate- Scheduling teams work, create Work Orders and Work Requests entering in the relevant daily diaries allowing the tasks to be completed in a cost effective manner- Interacting with customers and the teams to prioritise work as and when necessary, resolve issues, monitor progress and escalate potential problems where required- Initiating proactive contact with customers advising about both the regulatory, company and department’s requirements, including when appropriate the processes involved in achieving a new water connection- Dealing with both internal and external telephone enquires and reception duties in a professional manner- Becoming competent in the new Water Connections process- Supporting the team in consistently reaching the required Service Level Agreements- Running routine ad hoc reports log and distribute as required- Maintaining effective communication with the DWS Area FSC’s- Maintaining communication with external stakeholders including WRAS- Dealing with scientific dept requests for assistance including arranging urgent inspection visits- Being a competent administrator of the WRA system, generate reports of water regulations activities upon request- Being a competent user of corporate systems including, Ellipse, rapid and CRM- Maintaining effective confidential administration records relating to Water Regulation Inspections, 1:1 meetings, reviewing missed appointments and ensuring necessary feedback for GSS payments- Monitoring timesheet compliance and monitoring vehicle servicing requirements, PPE use- Carrying out any other duties associated with the companies core business as and when requiredWhat we are looking for in our ideal Water Regulations Administrator:- Maths and English at grade A-C GCSE standard, or equivalent, or able to demonstrate ability to work at this level- Word-processing qualification or be able to demonstrate proficiency (desirable)- Ability to plan and prioritise work scheduling and to work to deadlines- Knowledge of Water Regulations and or new water connections (desirable)- Proven experience of providing high quality internal and external customer service- Good organisational skills, self motivation and the ability to prioritise workload- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with an exceptional telephone manner- Able to work under pressure and still maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail- Ability to be an effective and flexible member of a small team- Ability to deal with customers with tact and in a calm and friendly mannerClosing date: Tuesday 13th October 2020If you are looking for a new challenge, please click apply now to be considered as our Water Regulations Administrator – we look forward to receiving your application.
