What its like to work here Castle Drogo built between 1910 and 1930 by renowned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens for millionaire Julius Drew, the castle was inspired by the rugged Dartmoor tors that surround it and was laboriously shaped and chiselled by hand out of local granite.Belowthe castle,paths wind their way into the gorge with the River Teignflowing at the bottom and views of this ancient landscape from the top. What youll be doing AsCastle DrogosVisitor Experience Officer -Volunteering, youll be responsible for a large volunteering offer bydelivering the day to day volunteer operationsupporting and organising to create a consistent and quality experience thatis positive, flexible and inclusive.Understanding how and why we engage ourvolunteers is key. Working toensure all our communications with our volunteers are clear and consistent.
