Job Description

Are you a Housing Professional looking for a new opportunityRole: Tenancy Enforcement CaseworkerType: Temporary - Up to 10 monthsFull/part time: Full time 35 hours per weekDriving Licence Required: YesAbout the roleOne of our leading Public Sector Clients has an exciting opportunity for a Tenancy Enforcement Caseworker to join their team on a temporary basis for 10 months.Due to the nature or the work this role requires the successful applicant to travel and attend court hearings throughout the South West with the primary location of Exeter,it is essential applicants have a Full drivers license and access to a vehicle.The role involves managing and investigating a caseload of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) reports covering a national geographical area and the role will manage issues such as safeguarding concerns and tenancy breaches. This includes early intervention solutionsas well as taking legal action. The successful candidate will draft effective witness statements and attend court hearings for ASB and tenancy breach matters.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a volume of routine/complex cases
  • Carry out thorough and effective investigations into reports of ASB
  • Adopt a victim centre approach when investigating ASB
  • Identify vulnerability at the earliest opportunities
  • Present or support the presentation of tenancy enforcement cases in Court to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and external partner agencies to assist tenancy enforcement activity.
  • Work together with other team members to innovate and deliver right first-time services.
Skills and Experience:
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation and current best practice.
  • Good attention to detail, maintaining accurate records within agreed service levels and targets.
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
