Technical Manager Exeter Competitive Salary + BenefitsMy client, a successful FMCG food manufacturing company, is looking to recruit an experienced Technical Manager into their team. The successful Technical Manager will report directly into the Head of Technical. Within this role you will be responsible forensuring compliance to all appropriate Food Safety, Legality and Quality requirements. Youll work on the development of the production and technical teams, ensuring technical compliance and developing new products and procedures to meet the strategy for growthTechnical Manager Roles and Responsibilities:·To ensure all requirements of the BRCGS standard are met and to take a joint lead in the BRCGS audits and customer audits alongside the Head of Technical ·HACCP level 4 qualified, youll be the site HACCP team leader, and manage the HACCP plan ·Leading the quarterly management review meetings, reporting & following up as required ·Managing the environmental monitoring plan, ensuring all testing is completed to schedule, and that results are managed and actioned appropriately ·Ensuring product quality and consistency is maintained and all orders are made to the correct recipe ·Undertaking regular plant inspections per schedule and action points are closed off ·Completing customer complaint investigations and reports ·Ensuring traceability of raw materials and finished products is maintained ·People management - youll lead, manage and develop a growing team ·Working closely with the maintenance team to ensure planned and preventative maintenance adequately covers equipment critical to food safety ·Attending internal meetings representing technical, following up on actions and support continual improvement process ·Managing budgets ·Capacity planning and project workKey skills required for the Technical Manager role:·Relevant Technical Management experience within production environments in the food industry. ·Extensive practical experience of BRC accreditation, HACCP implementation, facilitation of customer audits and quality system management. ·Degree qualification in food science or equivalent ·Excellent people management & communication skills.Salary and Benefits·30 days holiday (plus additional day after 2 years) ·Bank Holiday & Christmas Week closure ·Membership of our employee assistance scheme (access to free financial, health, legal & emotional support 24/7) ·Development - there are plenty of development opportunities for those that want to progress In return the successful Technical Manager will be working for a growing and successful, award winning food manufacturer.Key word search - Technical Manager, Technical Team Manager, Technical Supervisor
