Job Description

We have a rare position for a Team Leader to work within a Residential setting in the Exeter area. This role will be supporting residents with Autism and Learning Disabilities.The role is reporting to the Registered Manager with the Shift Leader and Support workers reporting to you.Role

  • Responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care at all times.
  • Ensure a safe, secure and happy home for residents.
  • Liaise with parents/carers, Healthcare professionals and Local Authorities.
  • Responsible for induction of new residents and management of residents who depart.
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed and that handovers are undertaken effectively.
  • Responsible for providing high quality input into care plans for residents
  • Ensure the care meets their needs and develops them as individuals.
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring that the resident’s activities are being undertaken
  • Overall responsibility for managing, ordering, stock control and safely dispensing all medication.
  • Attend meetings with external agencies
  • Undertake personal support for residents as necessary.
  • Day to day management of your team.
  • Undertake staff supervisions.
  • Ensure that staff and residents are compliant with Health and Safety guidance at all times.
To be considered for this role you will need the following:
  • Experience of working with and supporting adults with Learning difficulties.
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Good time management
  • NVQ Level 3 - Advantageous
