Job Description

Ref: EDH 14296Tax Consultant ExeterC.£25,000-£40,000 DOEOur Devon-based client is one of the largest firms of independent chartered accountants in the Southwest. This position is situated within their specialist tax advisory services team based out of their Exeter office.Responsibilities:

  • Scoping and costing new projects through to monitoring project budgets and preparing fees
  • Risk assessments to identify key tax issues
  • Drafting tax advice
  • Reviewing transaction documents, tax deeds and warranties in transaction documents
  • Reviewing target company information and preparing transaction due diligence reports
  • Preparing complex corporation tax returns and reviewing lower complexity returns
  • Liaising with the company network for input on international tax projects to provide advice to clients
The candidate:
  • Familiarity of a tax environment with a demonstrable varied experience from exposure to complex assignments.
  • CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified (or prepared to work towards CTA).
  • Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients within a practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and internally.
  • Driven, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with good problem-solving abilities.
