The role We are currently recruiting into a Band 6 training role of a Specialist Practitioner and Education Mental Health Practitioner Supervisor in an exciting new service which we will be delivering across Exeter. The Mental Health Support Team (MHST) will be based within the local schools, ensuring children and young people receive faster access to earlier mental health support. You will be one of the key leads in the set-up and running of this new Service. We welcome applicants from across Mental Health Services.In this role you will support and provide a high-quality services to students (and their families) experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. This will be achieved through the supervision of trainee Educational Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) who will be undergoing their training to deliver evidence based interventions to support the recovery of young people referred to the Service. Utilising skills and knowledge of CBT and child and adolescent mental health practice along with knowledge of whole school approaches to mental health, this work will be in accordance with Clinical Governance processes and Professional Standards. About you This post is open to candidates from a variety of clinical backgrounds.
