Job Description

TITLE: Service Vehicle Technician / Mechanic - Apprentice OpportunityLOCATION: ExeterSALARY: £30000-£35000BENEFITS: 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, contributory pension scheme, death in service benefit, discounted servicing and repairsHOURS: Full time, Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5.00pm + every other Saturday 8.30am-12pmTHE COMPANY: A successful family automotive dealership with branches across the South, representing a variety of global car and commercial vehicle manufacturers. They provide a trusted service to customers in their modern showrooms and servicerepair centres, with fully qualified technicians and highly knowledgeable advisors. This company offers amazing opportunities for career progression and personal development, both regionally and between brands.THE ROLE: Working within a friendly team of 8, you will provide customers with a timely and efficient service, have great attention to detail, undertaking diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, servicing, working to company processes and standards.DUTIES:

  • Diagnosing vehicle faults
  • Repairing or replacing faulty parts
  • Carrying out periodic maintenance
  • To understand the importance of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain professional working standards to provide a high level of first-time fixes to customers
ABOUT YOU:
  • A competent and capable team player, experienced with multi-tasking
  • Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair / Level 3 Diploma in Vehicle Technology or Mechanics desirable, though training & development offered
  • Motivated to improve your skill set and seek to continually train and learn
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow a structured process
