Job Description

Relationship Manager (Affordable Housing)South West£50k per annum + very good bonus + car allowance + 33 days holidayAs the Area Manager for the South West, your area include Plymouth, Devon, Bristol and surrounding towns across the South West of the UK. Ideally, this person will live in patch and can freely travel across this area when necessary to client meetings.Office location - Plymouth. There will be a requirement to visit the office on occasions but position could be fully remote.The company:This is an innovative and dynamic business that has established an affordable housing solution. With institutional investors backing their scheme, they will be the market leader supplying a pathway to 100% home ownership for first time buyers.The role:This is a great opportunity for a housing professional with previous experience of meeting, greeting, and establishing relationships either with local authorities or housing associations. As the Area Manager your role will be to make introductions to local authorities and establishing close relationships with housing developers and gaining schemes to deliver their award-winning affordable housing solution.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prospect for new clients to purchase s106 housing developments
  • Meeting with other housing professionals within local authorities and growing, maintaining and leveraging your network to grow their existing network of affordable housing schemes.
  • Plan, approach and pitch the new incentive by working with the team to develop proposals that speak to the clients needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Close sales deals and own the customer relationship end to end.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a focus on market and business trends with a view to developing new products and distribution channels.
  • Understand the companys goals, people, capabilities, and ethos as well as continually strive to enhance performance.
  • Fully understand when to involve other staff to use their skills to capture Clients and to build a robust pipeline.
  • Personal Specifications:
  • Thorough understanding of the affordable housing sector, particularly s106 agreements
  • Proven and demonstrable track record of building a solid pipeline which has delivered substantial growth for previous and current organisations.
  • Deep understanding of local authorities and housing associations within your area.
  • Capable of producing own submissions and demonstrating versatility in a growing company
  • Experience working with bid teams and ability to prioritise and convert opportunities.
