Job Description

Quality Manager (Automotive)The Company:This Tier I and II OEM Automotive Manufacturer seeks a dynamic, driven and highly competent Quality Manager on a 6 monthcontract to lead the business in all aspects of quality management in a highly regulated IATF environment. The Quality Manager will be a leader of change and havethe ability to work alongside his team in a high paced manufacturing environment; building and inspiring a high performing team who are accountable for results and to form good professional relationships inside and outside the organisation. In depth knowledgeof IATF16949, ISO9001 and ISO14001, management systems absolutely essential. Job Responsibilities:

  • Promoting and implementing quality and continuous improvement through the organisation.
  • To develop and implement our quality methods and practices to achieve excellent standards.
  • Advise on Quality Assurance system changes and implement where necessary.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and corrective actions.
  • Aiding Supplier quality to incorporated processes.
  • To monitor and advise on how the quality system is performing and provide data and reports regarding company performance against set indicators. (KPIManagement)
  • Participates in the development and review of new projects ensuring ALL quality requirements are captured and included meeting customer requirements.
  • Establish and implement the necessary communication for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments and drives the necessary changes.
Preferred Skills:
  • Minimum 10 years in an automotive quality management capacity within an OEM environment.
  • In depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF16949,ISO 14001, management systems essential
  • Experience in managing quality audits
  • Willingness to travel in the UK and Europe
  • APQP experience including FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, etc.
  • Audit traininglead auditor training would be advantageous or a plan to become an auditor.
  • Well versed with Six Sigma methodologies
  • Qualified or time served in an engineering background.
PersonalAttributes: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to liaise with staff, customersfrom board room to shop floor.Willingness to travel in the UK and EuropeExcellent communication and IT skills.Associated Benefits:Company PensionWorking Hours:8.30-5.30 M-F, 8.30-3 F
