Job Description

Quality Assurance ManagerJob Type: Full Time, Part Time, PermanentLocation: Police Headquarters, ExeterSalary: Scale H - Starts at £41,928 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £46,674 per annumType of working arrangement: Hybrid Worker - Hybrid working is a form of flexible working where workers spend some of their time working remotely (usually, but not necessarily, from home) and some in the employers workspace.The RoleAn opportunity waits for a highly skilled individual to assume the role of a Quality Assurance & Assessment Specialist within their Alliance team. This key position entails the meticulous oversight of training quality across various business sectors, ensuringadherence to stringent standards and licensing provisions.Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of qualification standards set by awarding organisations
  • Your expertise will be instrumental in providing strategic guidance to management, facilitating the seamless design, implementation, and management of qualifications, including apprenticeships, across their Learning and Development function.
  • With a focus on excellence, the chosen candidate will lead and coordinate assessment teams and continuous professional development initiatives. They will uphold a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality professional development programs acrossall qualification and assessment requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Have a recognised Level 5 qualification in teaching, training or Learning and Development and/or extensive demonstrable experience of working in an adult educational or learning and development environment: including a full understanding of the’ learningprocess’, with experience/understanding of performance and learning needs analysis’.
  • Be able to demonstrate proven experience of management and delivery of a planned programme of activity which incorporates training or assessment requirements and resource allocation but is adaptive and flexible to change as needed. This would allow youto forecast and be aware of changes to demand and provide effective solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to communicate difficult and challenging messages effectively across all levels of an organisation and externally with various governing bodies, College of Policing, Awarding Organisations,and providers, e.g., CMI, City and Guilds.
  • Be able to identify training and development needs and as a result design bespoke training and development interventions that meet changes to required standards performance or behaviours, to enhance organisational capability, utilising the training commissioningprocess.
  • Can evidence developed evaluative skills to interpret data, qualitative and quantitative information to ensure that the highest quality in training and development programmes is maintained; systematically reviewing effectiveness, noting areas of success/improvement, in line with organisational training strategy.
