Job Description

Purchase Ledger Clerk£22 - 24k pro-rataPart-time (Office based)2 dpw, PermanentOur client is an award-winning local business based in East Devon, and they are currently looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join them on a permanent basis.This opportunity is well-tailored for a Purchase Ledger Clerk who can cover purchase ledger, as well as provide crucial support for the cashier role as and when required.Main duties and responsibilities:

  • To process purchase invoices, including coding, distribute invoices for authorisation by budget holders.
  • Input purchase invoices to SAGE 50 accounts.
  • Prepare the payment listings of authorised invoices for the weekly and monthly payment runs.
  • Reconcile monthly statements before monthly payment run.
Required skills/experience:
  • Previous experience of working in a similar position in a busy accounts function.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with Sage and Excel is essential.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines necessary.
