Job Description

Your New roleWe currently have an opportunity for a Programme Delivery Manager to join our team in either Bristol or Exeter office. Within this role, you will be responsible for managing the design and construction of assets, supporting the Project Managers and contractors,whilst looking at the overall delivery of programmes. You will be ensuring that Health & Safety is being followed, agreeing costs for schemes and challenging programme works.What youll be leading on Lead the delivery of a complex programme of (at times inter related) projects within the Regions rolling 5 year capital programme, across all stages of the project lifecycle, from design to introduction into service Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the Regional Management Team, key external stakeholders, suppliers, contractors and across National Highways teams. Ensure full mutual understanding of the programmes, strategic and delivery objectives.Report on and review programme performance, to agree solutions that resolve complex issues and generate support for project business cases Manage lead and motivate multiple supply chain partners and contractors to deliver allocated portfolio to programme, cost and quality, whilst driving efficiencies Manage, lead and motivate project managers and their collaborative teams, ensuring effective utilisation and allocation of team resources, including recruitment, to ensure effective performance is delivered on the programme and to support their personal development Ensure full compliance with National Highways Operations Quality Management System (QMS) on all projects in scope to enable delivery within agreed parameters for quality, cost and time, ensuring they meet intended outcomes, customer service levels, corporate,technical, specialist and health and safety standards.To be Successful Understanding of NEC based contracts Highways Maintenance and Improvement knowledge and experience Excellent Stakeholder management Recognised qualification in relevant engineering discipline or extensive experience in delivery of civil engineering projects and programmes Proven programme and complex project management experienceA bit about usMaking sure our customers have safe and reliable journeys is at the heart of everything we do in Operations.
