Job Description

Production Engineer (Fabrication / CI / Root Cause Analysis)£35,000 - £38,000 + 24 days holiday + Flexitime + benefitsExeterAre you a Production Engineer looking for a new and exciting challenge with a well-established company supplying to clients globallyAre you looking to progress your career and learn within a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environmentWould you like to work for an established and growing manufacturer that values its employees with a proven track record of developing and promoting new staff who are investing in Continuous improvement and driving innovationReporting to the Lean Director, the Production Engineer is responsible for supporting production throughout the in-house metal shop and assembly areas. The role will also focus on co-ordinating the mutual engineering review of new products ensuring costeffective and sustainable production methods are utilised.The role:

  • Identify and present ideas for improving production in order to improve profitability, Quality, Throughput or H&S.
  • Conduct feasibility studies on continuous improvement ideas generated from within Production, and having agreed the priority and gained necessary sign off, implement those projects
  • Work closely with the Lean team to develop and implement of best practices, routines and solutions to improve production rates, Quality and output
  • Support the Production Director, Supervisors and Lean team in evaluating the strategic development of on-site manufacturing to achieve business goals.
The person:
  • HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline
  • Experience with metal fabrication
