Job Description

If youre an experienced RMN or RNLD who enjoys shaping and influencing junior nurses to deliver nothing less than great healthcare, then this might be for you.Join the team at Pinhoe View, a new purpose-built facility in Exeter as a Practice Development Nurse, where a range of mental health services are provided for adults with acute mental health conditions across two wards and eight individual flats.Working 37.5 hours a week, you will be responsible for overseeing the training and education programmes to support nurses and relevant support staff in delivering consistently high quality clinical care.As a Practice Development Nurse, you will implement the induction training programmes for new staff members, oversee and support staff with mandatory training, promote CPD opportunities and work with the Lead Nurse to develop training programmes for nursesto expand their clinical skills.You will act as the lead coordinator for student nurse placements, this will you see become the go-to person as you provide on-hand support for placements. You will lead and manage the overseas nurse programme and training for individuals identified at PinhoeView.With a strong emphasis on teamwork, youll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of online and CPD training courses to support you reach your career goals.Other responsibilitiesEnsures appropriate written records of training are maintainedProvides a source of current specialist nursing information and educational knowledgeFacilitate the provision of regular local and relevant teaching sessions within the clinical settingIdentifies training and development needs of staff within the clinicsProvide mentor support for both pre-registration and post-registration nurses.Works with Ward Managers to ensure that standards are set for nursing practice and for care involving the multidisciplinary teamTo be successful in this role, you will have:Experience as a Registered Nurse (RMN/RNLD) with a Minimum of 3 years post qualificationTeaching qualification (or willing to work towards one).Experience in working in hospital, healthcare or customer settingExperience of management supportComputer literate; Good MS Office skills especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint Presentation skillsWhat you will get:Annual salary of £42,000*£5k Welcome BonusThe equivalent of 33 days annual leaveplus your birthday off!Free meals and parkingWellbeing support and activitiesCareer development and trainingPension contributionLife AssuranceEnhanced Maternity PackageThere is also a range of other benefits including retail discounts and special offers, car leasing without a credit check and much more.About your next employerYou will be working for an established, stable and agile company with a unique approach to the delivery of care.
