Job Description

Fully remote permanent opportunity available for an experienced ParaplannerSalary - £28k - £38k p.a DOEWe are looking for a Paraplanner to provide support to Financial Advisers and their clients by compiling research, writing suitability reports and answering technical queries. The Paraplanner will coordinate work within the planners support team, ensure reportsare prepared and issued in a timely manner, and ensure new business is effectively managed to completion.Ideally the Paraplanner will live in the South West of England as you will need to make occasional visits to the Head Office in Exeter.Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. To deliver a personalised and high quality service to clients.
  2. To have a thorough understanding of the administration process, client file requirements and FCA requirements.
  3. Preparing and maintaining compliant client files.
  4. To follow Company and FCA procedures at all times.
  5. Attend training courses and to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
  6. Provision of high quality, accurate report writing for all areas of financial planning including pension transfers, trusts and IHT planning
  7. Prepare postal review and ad hoc letters for advisers.
  8. Discuss the clients needs and objectives with the relevant adviser.
  9. Undertake research to identify suitable solutions to meet the clients needs and objectives.
  10. Undertake pension, income drawdown and investment reviews.
  11. Prepare post meeting review letters confirming the details of the review meeting.
  12. Input and manage cashflow forecasting for clients.
  13. Provide technical support to complex client queries.
  14. Preparing investment material, quotes and illustrations for client meetings and suitability reports.
  15. Completing technical calculations including but not limited to Capital Gain Tax, bond surrenders/withdrawals, annual allowance, lifetime allowance and pension carry forward.
  16. Produce easily understandable recommendations to clients across the Group.
  17. Complete centralised research for products.
  18. Apply knowledge in practical situations where appropriate.
  19. Ensure turnaround times and deadlines are appropriately managed.
  20. Assist in completion of projects to enhance services within the team or wider business.
  21. Assist with the training and development of the Junior Paraplanner.
  22. Liaising and building good working relationships with advisers and providers.
  23. Keep up-to-date with new product, technical or legislative changes within the marketplace.
  24. To work as part of a team alongside the firms advisers and administrators to provide clients with a professional ongoing Financial Planning experience.
Essential requirements: -
  • Previous experience as a Paraplanner
  • Part or fully qualified working toward Level 4 CII/CISI
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good relationship-building ability
  • Fantastically organised with high attention to detail
