As an NHS Audiology Service, we represent the best of NHS hearing services.As we’re a Community Interest Company (CIC), we invest any surplus funds back into our social aims – delivering outstanding solutions to the hearing impaired.Now, we are looking for a Paediatric Audiology Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis.Your Benefits:- Salary of £19,337 pro rata rising to £21,143 pro rata after training- Make a new role your own- Full in-depth trainingIf you have previously worked within a customer-facing role, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop a rewarding career and increase your healthcare experience with a highly regarded company.Joining a friendly team, you will play an important role in ensuring that children and their families have a positive experience with our organisation.In this newly created position, you will have the chance to grow with the role and receive brilliant in-house training, with the aim of progressing into a more senior position in the future.So, if you’re ready for an exciting new learning opportunity, where you will build a new, specialised skill set, we want to hear from you.Your Role:As a Paediatric Audiology Assistant, you will carry out hearing assessments on young children and babies.Joining the Paediatric Audiology Team, you will support the hearing aid service, assisting children that need help with amplification, testing hearing aids and completing simple maintenance tasks.Your role will involve:- Taking the lead in engaging with children to enable a successful appointment outcome- Supporting the paediatric hearing aid service with simple replacements and ear mould tubing- Ensuring all data is inputted accurately into the patient management system- Overseeing the paediatric noticeboard, ordering leaflets and preparing information packs- Assisting in audit work for the department- Ensuring clinic rooms are set-up for the dayAbout You:To join us as a Paediatric Audiology Assistant, you will need:- Previous experience of working in a customer-facing role- Excellent communication skills with the ability to talk to a wide range of people- The willingness to commit to training and professional development- At a minimum, GCSE level qualifications (or equivalent)- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicleIdeally, you will have previous experience of working with babies and young children, but this is not essential.Other organisations may call this role Assistant Paediatric Audiologist, Clinic Assistant, Hearing Support Assistant, Hearing Clinic Assistant, Hearing Aid Support Assistant, or Medical Services Assistant.We’d like to hear from you if you’ve previously worked as a Customer Service Rep, Customer Care Advisor, Customer Services Executive, Receptionist, or Customer Service Administrator.This is a part-time role, working 33.5 hours per week, 8am – 5pm, on Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
