Job Description

Multi-disciplined Engineer - Southwest England - UP TO £53K OTEHunter Mason are recruiting on behalf of an established Cardiff based company specialising in the design, installation, service and maintenance of fire detection, security & CCTV, automated entry/exit and access control systems.This is a varied and interesting role within a medium-sized family-run business based in Cardiff that has been operating in the Automation, Fire & Security industry for over 30 years. Job Summary This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who is a self-starter, who will support the company in expanding into the Southwest England region. We currently have a small but manageable number of customers dotted around the Southwestwhich we would like to provide a quicker response time when it comes to the maintenance, fault finding, repair and servicing of their assets. We are looking for someone who is driven and motivated to make this role their own.
  • The successful candidate will have experience in one of our 3 main disciplines as a minimum, but the more multi skilled the successful candidate would be advantageous
  • Automation consists of Installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, fault finding, repair and servicing of Automatic Doors, Gates, Bollards, Barriers, and Roller Shutters.
  • The successful candidate will ideally have experience in installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, fault finding, repair and servicing of various Fire & Security systems: Fire systems to include - Advanced, Hochiki, Apollo, and other life safetysystems such as emergency lights, nurse call, and refuge systems.
  • Security systems to include - CCTV (IP, Turbo HD) Networking, Intruder Detection (Galaxy, Honeywell etc) Access Control, Intercoms, and Public Address Systems.
  • This role will involve the maintenance, fault finding, repair and servicing of customers assets - providing a first-rate reactive service to our Southwestern customer base.
Required Education, Skills & Qualifications
  • Experienced multi-disciplined engineer - minimum 5 years experience.
  • PC and Microsoft literate - essential.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team and individually.
  • Excellent personal, written, and presentational skills.
  • ADSA BS/EN16005 certified preferable.
  • Basic understanding of electrical works.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • No criminal record.
  • If successful, the candidate must complete, submit, and pass a full security vetting clearance.
  • IPAF licence preferable.
