Job Description

Were looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our South West Water team based in Exeter or St AustellLocation: Exeter or St AustellContract: Permanent- full time – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us knowWhat will you be responsible forAs a Managing Quantity Surveyor youll be working within the South West Water team on the water mains network enhancements, developer services sewers and clean water frameorks, delivery a variety of upgrade and new build schemes in the region.You will manage the commercial resources (people and finance) of assigned projects to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control contracts and subcontracts.Your day to day will include:

  • Procurement of subcontractors in line with our commercial standards, ensuring best value for Kier and our client
  • Reviewing and approving tender submissions
  • Produce month end reporting and ensure cash flow is maximised
  • Accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting
  • Working with the operations team to ensure sound cost management

  • You hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • You hold experience working with NEC form of contracts
