Job Description

IT Support EngineerMonday to Friday 8am - 6pmTravel between Truro and Exeter Hybrid roleDue to an investment programme in business applications and new technologies our client is looking for an additional skilled first and second line IT Support Engineer.You will be based in our clients Truro office with the requirement to travel occasionally to other offices*. Our clients hybrid working model and approach to flexible working enables people to share their working time between home and office to support ahealthy work-life balance.The Role:Working alongside other Support Engineers and the wider IT team based in Truro, St Austell and Exeter offices, you will provide front line support for their users.This requires a customer focused can do attitude, you will take ownership of incidents as they occur fulfilling the process through their life cycle, ensuring robust solutions are reached in a timely manner. You will maintain a professional, helpful andtimely communication with your customers.

  • Part of the role requires set up and configuration of desktops and laptops
  • Managing user accounts
  • Installing authorised software and ensuring security and upgrades are kept up to date.
Are you the right candidateYou will have demonstrable experience of delivering first line (as a minimum) support in an IT helpdesk environment and will have the technical know-how to fault find and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.You will be personable, approachable, and communicative. The role allows for a mix of lone-working and working as part of a busy team. You will be proactive and able to use your initiative, prioritising and reprioritising your workload as appropriate.Excellent keyboard and organisational skills are required to complete relevant administrative duties.Essential:
  • Experience of working in a 1st and 2nd line support role on an IT Service Desk for a minimum of two years
  • Experience supporting Office 365, Remote Desktop Services environments
  • Great Customer Care skills
  • Knowledge of Networking; Active Directory; Exchange
  • Clean Driving License
