The Company:If you are an experienced SHEQ Advisor with a strong background within manufacturing or production, then we have an exciting Devon based opportunity for you. You will deliver Health, Safety, Environment and Quality reviews and develop and implement systems accordingly. You will provide advice and guidance to the company and their employees across all levels of the business.Job Responsibilities: Assist all levels of management to implement and comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and relevant safety legislation. Make recommendations and interpretpolicy decisions to ensure legislative compliance.Encourage and promote a positive and conscious safety, environmental and quality culture within the business in order to drive continuous improvement in health, safety and quality performance.Keep up-to-date with quality standards and monitor new quality laws applicable to the Companys businessConduct and review risk assessments across all the Companys sites, including COSHH.Conduct and formally document health, safety and quality inspections and audits across all the Companys sites.Create and implement H&S training programmes for all departments.Preferred Skills: It is essential that you possess a NEBOSH National General Certificate, Diploma or degree in Health & Safety, with a competencylevel that meets with Tech IOSH membership category as a minimumYou must have proven hands-on experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environmentYou must also possess honed analytical skills, essential for quality control dutiesPersonal Attributes:You must be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative;Abledemonstrate good time management skills with the ability to prioritise;Be able to identify emerging problems and proactively develop solutions with an awareness of businessneeds;Have an investigative mind with attention to detail;Possess a high level of numeracy and literacy with strong verbal and written communication skillsAssociated Benefits: A competitive salary and benefits including a contributory pension scheme, staff discounts, childcare vouchers and death in service cover.
