Have you ever noticed that recruitment agency advertisements follow an almost exclusive opening theme Their recruiting client’s business sector has to be the most exciting since sliced bread. A better sector to work in than any other sector, ever.Fortunately, we don’t need to dig deep for this kind of poetic licence on this occasion. We’re working with a not for profit organisation that makes a real difference to normal people, every day of the year, 24 hours per day. We don’t need to sugar coat this employer’s merits, they’re obvious from the outset.Opportunities to work with a charity held in this high regard are few and far between and we’re delighted to be assisting with their search for a Head of Finance. This is a pivotal role that sits on the senior management team from day one. Working closely with the Director of Finance, as well as supporting a small team of direct reports, this is a role that truly interacts across all areas of the organisation and its external stakeholders. We know that it takes a very special financial leader to do this. Someone who is regarded as a true ambassador for everything that the charity stands for, somebody with a flair for overcoming challenges, implementing and nurturing new ideas and procedures, and somebody that understands the full lifecycle of charity accounting. No surprises then, we’re looking for a candidate with a charity or not for profit background, a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA & CIMA), and above all a candidate that genuinely understands and cares about the organisation and its aims & objectives. We’re giving little away about the technical aspects of the role for now, but if you think we’re describing you, we want to tell you more. For further details and to apply, please get in touch with Steve Roach quoting reference SR6789. With a looming closing date, we genuinely need to move quickly on this so please don’t delay, even if your CV isn’t yet the finished article.Head of Finance (NFP) - Exeter - £45,000
