Job Description

We currently have a Flooding Reporting Technician position available for a motivated individual to join our team based at Exeter. Joining us on a full time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary of £21,000 per annumplus benefits.South West Water is part of the Pennon Group, a very successful and stable business which prides itself on sustainability. In return, we offer an excellent range of benefits which include free car parking at the majority of our sites, company Sharesave Scheme, childcare support, and various health benefits.As our Flooding Reporting Technician, you will provide support to the Flooding and Pollution Reporting Manager, determine and report on sewerage asset and performance data, maintain the DG5 Register, present data for audit and assist in ODI Performance Reporting.Responsibilities as our Flooding Reporting Technician will include: - Ensuring correct information is added to the Flooding Register to comply with the requirements of Ofwat audit and producing information for the Company Annual Performance Report processes- Preparing data and participating in the annual Company Annual Performance Report DG5 Audit- Reviewing Guaranteed Standards Scheme claims, processing payments, analysing work orders and creating hotspots related to internal and external sewer flooding- Calculating and processing top-up payments for Guaranteed Standards Scheme from the monthly report from Service Compliance- Sitting on the flooding review panel – organising details ready for meetings, collating information and creating meeting records- Undertaking and preparing monthly Audits/Reports- Preparing storm analysis reports – obtaining information from the MET Office for hydraulic overload, internal flooding events and action undertaken- Completing scanning of paperwork onto ellipse work orders- Reviewing the team mailbox and answering emails in a timely manner- Maintaining good relations and communications with other Functions- Responding to Ad-hoc data requests from Manager and other Functions within the businessWhat we are looking for in our ideal Flooding Reporting Technician:- Minimum 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above, including Maths, English and a Science subject (or equivalent)- A proven track record of working to deadlines- Previous experience working on own initiative and/or working as part of a team- Proficient organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously and prioritise own workload- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an exceptional telephone manner- The ability to use various MS Office and Corporate computer packages- Someone who can establish rapport easily and has the ability to build effective working relationships within the team- Willingness to complete occasional travel to different sites within the operational area to support the delivery of dutiesClosing date: Thursday 4th February 2021If you are looking for a new challenge, please click apply now to be considered as our Flooding Reporting Technician – we look forward to receiving your application.
