Job Description

  • Monday to Friday (09:00 - 17:30)
    • One of Exeters most supportive and stable employers is looking to recruit a Financial Controller into their team. Working within the manufacturing industry, this role will play a key part in the businesss success. The role will include responsibility of maintaining the control environment of the business, while continuously developing business reporting and processes. The reporting will play a key part towards the companys commercial decisions and monitoring requirements. With support from an established Management Accountant and finance team, this role will transition to become the the primary role for the finance department. The company have continued to grow, even throughout the challenging time weve experienced in 2020, demonstrating their strength and stability as a business.Responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain and develop standard processes and controls throughout the business
  • Management of the finance team
  • Building collaborative relationships with the other seniorfinance team members
  • Supervision of direct reports, providing objectives and feedback
  • Business reporting and investigation
  • Commercial analysis, with the guidance of the Finance Director or Board
  • Provideadvisory support in new business development projects
  • Communicating results to the Board and other teams
  • Management and Financial Account processes
  • Responsible for elements of the monthly management accounts and financial accounts
  • Assisting with the audit process
  • Covering other areas of the department, such as treasury planning and external submissions
  • Endorsing health and safety across the department
    • Experience and skills sought:
  • Previous experience as a Financial Controller or similar level
  • Manufacturing sector experience will be an advantage
  • Qualified withCIMA / ACCA
