Job Description

Finance Systems Analyst£32K - £37K12-18 month ContractDo you have experience of Unit4 Business WorldAgresso Do you have an understanding of statutory financial reporting and producing management information. Maybe you have a degree or recognised qualification in computing / accountancy / procurement OR equivalent level experience in an IT environment plus experience at post graduate level If so this may be a role worth exploringThis is a fantastic opportunity to work for the NHS and manage and support the Trust finance systems - Unit4 Business World Agresso, Advanced Business Systems EROS, Civica SLAM, Civica CostMaster, Civica ProAuto, CORVID Paygate.You will be supporting the business activities of the Finance Department, implementing improvements and processes used to meet the organisation’s strategic aims.Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the finance systems (Unit4 Business World, Advanced Business Systems EROS, Civica SLAM, Civica CostMaster, Civica ProAuto, CORVID Paygate) are reliable & secure.
  • To manage all issues and advise on the appropriate prioritisation of support services for development and improvement of the department’s systems.
  • Developing and providing reporting tools through the Crystal reporting tool.
  • Analyse existing system processes and propose improvements.
  • To project manage the introduction of new functionality and development of existing systems, in line with operational needs and constraints.
  • Ensure systems and controls are in place to support the detailed monthly reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Responsible for day-to day management and support of the finance systems and their data.
  • To provide cover for system updates / maintenance tasks outside of office hours.
  • Ensures data accuracy, investigate data quality incident and take appropriate action to resolve and to avoid recurrence.
    • Preferred Skills:
  • Understanding of statutory financial reporting and producing management information.
  • knowledge and experience ofUnit4 Business WorldAgresso
  • Degree or recognised qualification in computing / accountancy / procurement OR equivalent level experience in an IT environment plus experience at post graduate level
  • Prince 2 qualification would be ideal though not essential.
  • Experience of overseeing integration and extraction of data between different systems.
  • Experience of project and resource planning and change management
  • Working knowledge of database technology, query building and report writing
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
