Facilities and H&S ManagerExeter, DevonThe Company Calendar Club is a thriving publishing and seasonal retail business. From September through to January, we sell thousands of calendars from key shopping centres and high streets across the nation, as well as supplying cards, gifts and calendars to a wide rangeof other retailers. We are now looking for a Facilities and H&S Manager to join our friendly team and manage our warehouse and office headquarters building in Exeter. Youll also make sure that all H&S practices are followed.Overseeing services for a team of 150, youll ensure that all building facilities, from heating and cleaning through to sprinklers and alarm systems, are properly maintained with minimum downtime.Youll co-ordinate and supervise external contractors, authorise expenditures and conduct daily checks of basic building services.Additionally, you will manage and monitor H&S standards, processes, communications, training and systems (further training will be available if required).Your other duties will include:- Conducting basic repairs- Training colleagues to provide building services cover in your absence- Performing H&S related drills, testing, assessments and inspectionsAbout YouTo be considered as a Facilities and H&S Manager, you will need:- Building maintenance experience and knowledge, including experience of performing basic repairs- A good working knowledge of H&S practices or a willingness to learn them- Competent IT skills - Great communication skills, both written and verbal- Excellent organisational, time-management and planning abilities Other organisations may call this role Facilities and Health & Safety Manager, Facilities Manager, Building Services Manager, Facilities Supervisor, Site Manager, Building Manager, Building Maintenance Manager, Building Operations Manager, or Facilities OperationsManager.Webrecruit and Calendar Club are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
