He attends a local collage, loves music of any kind, writing stories, exploring everything new and different and riding his bike, the list is long! Thomas hascerebral palsy and is dependent on others for all his needs. Thomas is a wheelchair user, is non-verbal but uses a communication aid with a great efficiency.Overview of role:Your role will be to support Thomas with his afternoon and weekend routine, providing personal care, enable him to pursue his interests and exploring new activities. We are looking for a personable candidate who will bring new skills/ interests to Thomassteam.If you play an instrument, speak a foreign language, are sporty or have any other great hobby or skills we would like to hear from you!Working hours are:Week 1: Monday and Thursday 3:45pm to 9:30pm,Week 2: Monday and Friday 3.45pm9.30pm, Sunday 8am - 5.30pm. There is an opportunity to work additional hours in school holiday by mutual agreement. The hourly rate is £14.00 gross per hour. The days mentioned above are flexible and can be swapped with theother carers. Who this job would suit:This is an exciting position, no experience in care is required.
