Empowering Learning are supporting a specialist learning provision who have specialist services based across SW England providing education for children aged 13 - 16 years with SEMH / SEBD, plus children who have experienced difficulties with mainstream schooling.They are seeking to appoint an English Co-ordinator on a permanent basis as soon as possible for their school service based in Devon.Students within the provision are those considered hard to reach and young people who have struggled to fit in within mainstream education, therefore their learning journey is highly personalised and supportive of their wellbeing. Sessions are delivered through one-to-one sessions and small group work sessions.The successful person will be experienced with coaching and teaching young people with SEMH up to GCSE level, as well as experienced with creating and providing an aspirational and creative English curriculum which covers an array of Functional Skills, KS3 through to KS4 to be taught directly in their schools.You will also be tasked with creating an English curriculum that will be used to teach certain pupils who require remote learning via specialist learning mentors, who will be line managed by the person appointed as well.This role will suit an experienced teacher who is motivated by coaching young people to be the best version of themselves. The students you will work with are those considered hard to reach and young people who have struggled to fit in within mainstream school, therefore their learning journey is highly personalised and supportive of their wellbeing. Sessions are delivered through one-to-one sessions and small group work sessions.You will also manage the coordination of English Language and Literature across the provision. This will cover an array of Functional Skills, KS3 through to KS4, to provide personalised English lessons that supports the students to progress, as well as and lead and manage a team of learning mentors to deliver enriched, motivating English sessions and support their subject knowledge.Interviews will take place immediately for the right person and the salary package is dependent on experience.To discuss this role in more depth, please contact Kenny Fraser today!
