Job Description

We have a FANTASTIC opportunity for an Early Years Practitioner to join a WONDERFUL day nursery in Exeter, near the City Center. Youll be caring for children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years old, to support their learning, growth and development.We are looking for COMMITTED, MOTIVATED and PASSIONATE individuals who want to create a safe and secure learning environment for children to enjoy and thrive.Job Title: Early Years PractitionerSalary: £20,498 - £24,991Location: Exeter (EX4 postcode)Contract: PermanentHours: 42 - 45 hours per week Shift pattern: Monday to Friday (8am - 6pm)**Due to the nature of the role we can only accept candidates who hold a DfE approved Early Years and Childcare Qualifications at Level 2 and above!**Benefits:

Responsibilities:
  • Taking care of babies, toddlers, and preschool children.
  • Develop and maintain trusting relationships with children but equally with parents, carers and all other professionals.
  • Protect children from risks to their health and wellbeing.
  • Providing a family-orientated, supportive space in a high-quality environment.
  • Maintain a safe environment.
  • Ensuring the safety of the children and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of any care plans or guidelines.
Requirements:
  • DfE approved Early Years and Childcare Qualifications at Level 2 and above ESSENTIAL
  • Experience with working with children is desirable but not essential
  • You must be able to commute to Exeter.
  • Basic ICT knowledge.
  • EYFS & Safeguarding knowledge desirable but not essential.
