Job Description

We currently have a Development Coordinator position available for a motivated individual to join our team based in Exeter. Joining us on a full time, permanent basis you will receive a competitive salary of £23,000 - £25,000 per annum plus benefits.South West Water is part of the Pennon Group, a very successful and stable business which prides itself on sustainability. In return, we offer an excellent range of benefits which include: free car parking at the majority of our sites, company Sharesave Scheme, childcare support, and various health benefits.As our Development Coordinator, youwill develop applications for new water and sewer requisitions customer’s in accordance with industry guidance, service level requirements and Water Industry Act.Responsibilities as our Development Coordinator will include:- Being responsible for delivering schemes under a design and construction in line with the Water industry Act- Representing South West Water at meetings with customers, developers and other interest groups to ensure South West Water position is maintained and supported- Being responsible for the necessary details, consents and approved drawings are available to enable Legal and Property Services to deliver requisition agreements- Being responsible for delivering the projects in line with the financial rules within the business and wider requirements of Ofwat/Water Industry Act- Holding effective cross functional relationships to support with the management of applications and onward delivery of schemes and work in accordance with our Service Level Agreements and target customer experienceWhat we are looking for in our ideal Development Coordinator:- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent- 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at grade C or above in Maths and English- NVQ in Civil Engineering- Level 3 – Construction in the build environment or similar- ISOH Manging Safely (desirable)- Experience in Customer Service environment- Computing experience with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365- Previous experience in the Utility industry (desirable)- Effective oral and written communication skills- Logical and analytical approach to problem solving- Organised and strong decision maker- Ability to prioritise work- Willing to learn and expand skillsClosing date: Tuesday 13th October 2020If you are looking for a new challenge, please click apply now to be considered as our Development Coordinator – we look forward to receiving your application.
