Job Description

Our client is a fast-growing company who specialise in telecommunications technology in the South West of England. They are currently seeking a Construction Supervisor to join their talented team in Exeter. Your role will be to design, build, accept and maintain FTTH, FTTX, ODN and Backhaul segments and to supervise the activities of contractors and construction team employees. To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 5 years of construction experience within the telecoms sector. Any previous supervisory experience or the possession of a NRSWA card would be highly beneficial.Responsibilities:

  • Design of FTTH, FTTX, ODN and Backhaul segments
  • Management of contractors including Quality Acceptance work
  • Undertaking of site surveys and field visits
  • Integration of the OSP network into a GIS platform
  • Training and mentoring of staff
  • Continual focus on ensuring safe working for employees
    • Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of construction experience within the telecoms sector
  • Ideally some previous supervisory experience
  • Ideally a NRSWA certificate
  • CSCS card and full UK driving license
  • A cable winching and HV/LV cable laying qualification
  • Ability to work effectively within a team along with excellent communication skills
