Job Description

Details of this position:This position is for a full-time Construction Lecturer to work at a Category B Adult Male Prison. The role will involve teaching City & Guilds Level 2 in Construction, to a cohort of up to 10 learners in a fully equipped construction workshop. Practicalscan run for up to 3 hours, allowing for more contact time with the learners.Work schedule: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per weekWork time: 8:15 - 16:45, with a 13:30 finish on Fridays.Salary scale: £25,160 - £32,839Holidays: 30 days + bank holidays + up to 5 college closure daysTo be considered, suitable candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • A teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards one)
  • An Assessors Award
  • A relevant vocational trade qualification
  • Relevant industry trade experience
  • Experience teaching Multi Skills (desirable)
