Job Description

Your new roleCase Manager - Property EnquiriesThis role within the GIS, Registration and Enquiries Team researches and responds to technical land ownership and status queries from internal and external customers, responding to property related Health and Safety incidents on the operational and non-operationalestate in accordance with legislation and policy.This role supports the delivery of paragraph 9.9 of the licensing agreement between Government and National Highways facilitating the representation of land ownership and maintenance records in accordance with the delivery of the Road Investment StrategySchemes.What youll be working on

  • Manage to quality, time and cost the performance of the professional supply chain of solicitors and managing agents to support the resolution of Health and Safety incidents on operational and non-operational land and to provide professional advice on complexproperty related issues.
  • Provide customers, stakeholders and the wider organisation with professional and accurate advice about the companys land ownership.
  • Comply with statutory requirements and internal procedures by accurately maintaining the companys property, financial and other administrative records meeting personal and team metrics.
  • Investigate, manage customer expectations and close property queries to meet business targets prioritising workload and responding to changing priorities.
  • Interrogate, collate, create, interpret and analyse multiple datasets and documentation to resolve property queries.
  • Understand the common law and statutory legislation around illegal occupation and encroachment and interpret Highways Orders to ensure cases are managed in accordance with the law, company policy and procedure; analyse and use all relevant information tomake informed effective decisions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, share best practice, contribute to a culture of continual improvement and consider the Companys reputation and vision.
  • Liaise with Local Highway Authorities and HM Land Registry. Analyse complex evidence to establish ownership boundaries using a Geographical Information System.
  • Identify and minimise risk to health, safety and welfare of colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Shared responsibility of management, organisation and customer service associated with the team inbox.
To be successful you will have
  • Ability to work effectively in a blended office and home working environment, to deliver an efficient customer service and support delivery
  • Ability to use bespoke "in-house" computer systems for case management, finance, document storage and retrieval
  • Ability to use MS Office software products to produce and maintain a range of documents and spreadsheets
  • Experience of property law desirable
  • Awareness of using GIS (e.g. ArcGIS, MapInfo) and familiarity with OS products desirable.
  • Evidence of ability to analyse and use all relevant information to make informed decisions
  • Good written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent engagement skills with internal colleagues and external suppliers and members of the public.
  • Willingness to engage in and complete competency training and achieve a professional property qualification within an agreed timescale of starting the role.
