Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Business Analyst to join an extremely exciting technology-driven business with offices located in both Exeter and Reading. The role is offered on a remote working basis with 1 to 2 trips per month to the office (whichever office location is best for you).The success candidate will be responsible for the methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all, or part of the business, in terms of business requirements, business processes, business functions, data and systems.You will be working closely with the Architecture, Project Management, Product Management and Engineering teams to understand the key business drivers, to provide business analysis services in support of projects and business as usual, to aid the achievementof the firms business goals.Job Responsibilities

  • Understanding and analysing business problems or opportunities.
  • Researching and analysing how segments of the business work, their end-to-end flows, supporting processes, technology and participants.
  • Elicit programme and project requirements using interviews, document analysis and other techniques.
  • Writing requirements specifications and user stories, depending on the project methodology according to standard templates, simply and clearly.
  • Using standard business analysis techniques, providing supporting diagrams utilising use cases, story boarding scenario analysis, developing business process diagrams for As-Is and To-Be business processes (utilising BPMN2.0 or similar tools).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment to the business architecture, product management and engineering.
  • Actively supporting development and test activities and participating in show and tells to ensure requirements and user stories have been correctly interpreted.
About YouWe are looking for someone with a proven background in Business Analysis. You will be easily approachable by the team and willing to assist where required. You will be someone who promotes the Business Analysis discipline and can assist in defining the standardsand ways of working across the business analyst community.You will also have/be:

  • Ability to work in both waterfall and agile projects, understanding the pros and cons for each.

  • Experienced in BPMN2.0 and other modelling techniques.
  • Undertaken Business Analysis skills training.
  • Experience of working with architecture disciplines and assisting on increasing the Business Architecture domain.
