Job Description

Berry Recruitment are working closely with a bespoke design and installation company that specialise in Audio Visual projects. We are currently seeking an AV Installation Engineer based in Exeter.The CompanyWith many years experience in providing solutions for business, village halls, education, visitor attractions and places of worship. They pride themselves in being able to create solutions to problems even when they are not off the shelf. Their focus isalways their clients ensuring that any system designed will be easy to use. The company has long standing staff member and their collective knowledge, skills and experience provide great customer service.The JobAs an AV Installation Engineer you will provide installation services of a wide range of integrated audio visual solutions and video conferencing technologies in the Corporate, Further Education and Public sectors. Your duties will includeinstallation of AV systems such as:

  • Places of Worship.
  • Boardroom & Meeting room systems (audio and video), video conferencing suites and digital signage.
  • Installation and commissioning of Microsoft Teams Room systems.
  • Commission equipment to the highest standard on site, including programming of audio DSPs, setup of digital video systems and setup of video conferencing systems.
  • Perform maintenance visit and ongoing support.
  • Carry out site surveys and produce survey reports.
  • Provide technical support during and post projects.
The PersonTo be considered for the AV installation Engineer post in Exeter it is expected you will have the following experience:
  • On site installation experience of installing a range of equipment in a range of environments including projection display screens, interactive technologies, audio solutions, digital sound processors, switching video scalers, signal extenders and digitalsignage.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of digital sound processing and video distribution.
  • Excellent cabling skills
  • Ability to understand schematics.
  • Excellent rack building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good understanding of IT and networks
  • Have excellent customer facing communication skills
