Temporary ASB OfficerImmediately Required via Venn GroupThe Contract Recruitment SpecialistsOur client, a local authority based in Devon urgently requires an experienced ASB Officer. You have the opportunity to work across two teams within the Environmental Health and Community Safety Service on a temporary basisWhere: DevonContract Type: 4 Months +Hours: 37 Mon-FriJob ref: 6993150Responsibilities:Investigate complaints and incidents relating to nuisance such as drainage, noise, accumulations of refuse and other matters of ASBUse all available methods within ASB case management to interview victims, witnesses and alleged perpetrators, ensuring the case is managed sensitively and confidentiallyProvide support to victims, witnesses and alleged perpetrators through effective case management methods, whilst acting on the basis of risk and proportionality when making interventionsProvide evidence when required including witness statements interviewing under caution and attend court to give evidenceTo ensure that complainants and perpetrators are signposted to appropriate support agencies when vulnerabilities are identifiedPrepare and enforce legal notices relating to nuisance and attend court proceedings as required To liaise and work collaboratively with other Council service areas, external agencies and partners in order to develop a suitable joint working response to cases and emerging concernsTo assist other sections of the service in dealing with outbreaks, environmental monitoring and emergency situations.Responsible for maintaining the professional relationship of the organisation with national and local key agencies such as the local authority, Police and health servicesEnsure the enforcement of appropriate legislation relating to private sector housing to secure the repair and improvement of properties and ensure mobile home sites comply with appropriate statutory requirementsEssential Skills:In depth knowledge of ASB within Housing Previous ASB court experience Current enhanced DBS Strong IT skillsA driver with their own carTo apply for this role or to find out about other Housing jobs, please contact or Branwen Johns or Emily Rex on the Bristol Housing Recruitment team on or
