Job Description

The central finance and administration function is based in Bradford.Ferraris Piston Service Limited (FPS) is a key subsidiary of the UK Group and has specialised in distribution and wholesale for over 85 years; their product portfolio spanning automotive, maintenance & accessories and retail sectors withinthe UK and Ireland, having annualised sales of c.£300m and operating from 23 sites across the UK.The Position - Purchase Ledger AdministratorFollowing migration of the Purchase Ledger Function to our Shared Service Centre in Bradford, FPS is currently looking to recruit an individual to form part of the Purchase Ledger team, using Kerridge K8.Reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager, the role will include:

  • Creation and Maintenance of supplier accounts/records
  • Validation of purchase invoices, by agreement to evidence of delivery, or provision of services, at various locations
  • Posting invoices to the ledger (Stock and Overheads)
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements in electronic/excel format
  • Troubleshooting - Investigating, understanding & correcting mis-postings
  • Reviewing bank statements and posting relevant payments to the ledgers
  • Preparation of four monthly BACS payments
  • Involvement with the continuous development of K8
The Group has a strict structure of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, so the applicants need to be comfortable working to externally imposed deadlines.The applicant should also be comfortable working with multiple currencies.Person Specification
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced Purchase Ledger environment
  • Experience with Kerridge K8 beneficial, but not essential
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Comfortable dealing with suppliers and resolving queries over the phone
  • Excel proficiency to an intermediate level
  • Keen attention to detail and the self-discipline to work to a precise level of accuracy
  • A flexible approach to roles and duties, being prepared to take on varied tasks at short notice
  • Enthusiastic individual that is keen to learn, get involved and help to develop and improve processes
