Due to continued growth, our growing ecommerce client in the automotive space they are now looking for a WordPress/eCommerce Developer who is hands-on and professional with a strong knowledge of WordPress / eCommerce platforms.Based in the central IT team the role will provide direct support to the web development function and assist across the e-commerce IT infrastructure where needed.Skills. WordPress, themes, and plug-ins.· WooCommerce eCommerce platform, plug-ins, and integrations· HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and APIs· New Relic and Sentry to monitor web site traffic and faults· Data, CSV and SQL experience for automated site experience.Responsibilities.Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using the best software development practices.Monitoring web site and eCommerce platform performance, identifying issues, troubleshooting, and resolving any problems..Data Integration with various back-end services, databases, and APIs.Collaborating with eCommerce, sales and marketing teams, gathering, and analysing requirements, and then developing elegant solutions..Ensuring that web site content is accurate and up to date including privacy notices, promotional announcements, and company information..Backing up website code and data to enable rapid recovery in the event of an outage.Working with third parties to manage the company websites and applications.Creating/Updating support documentation for all websites and applicationsRequired:.2+ Years’ experience in web site development and testing, with a good understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.2+ Years’ experience of eCommerce in a PCI Compliant environment, with a grasp of security principles and how they apply to eCommerce applications.Top-notch programming skills with a proven knowledge of modern HTML/CSS, and WordPress, having developed robust and scalable solutions.Experience of working with WooCommerce.Knowledge of Git Version ControlIf this sounds of interest, get in touch!
