Job Description

Fastrack Site Investigations Limited - Geotechnical Site Assistant (London & The South East)Site SurveysPermanent, Full-time (37 Hrs per week)£19,500 - £24,000Site based across London & the South EastMonday - Thursday 9am-5.30pm, Friday 9am - 5pm (On Site)Annual Performance BonusOptional BUPA Health InsuranceEmployee Benefit & Support SchemeThis national geotechnical services company is seeking a Site Operative to be based in the Home Counties. The role will involve working in a two person team to carry out geotechnical site investigations.Fastrack Site Investigations Limited specialise in providing services to the subsidence (buildings) insurance and new build development sectors.Reporting directly to the senior geologist, this role will involve carrying out geotechnical surveys, excavating trial holes, drilling boreholes and carrying out CCTV camera surveys. Working as part of a team, full training will be provided, however a keen drive to learn new tasks will be necessary. This is a physical role which will involve drilling with hand augers as well as using larger mechanical drilling rigs.Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with engineers/adjusters concerning required testing and sampling etc
  • Continued training in new methods of on-site investigation and drainage repair
  • Carrying out site investigations and drainage repairs to a high standard
  • Required skills / Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate will be conscientious with the ability to learn new skills and adapt to new tasks.
  • On site geotechnical / piling experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of geotechnical surveying techniques (preferred)
  • Full UK driving license
  • A DBS check will carried out as part of the application process
  • The roles will be subject to a 3 month probationary period.Fastrack offer healthcare insurance, an annual performance related bonus and a contributory pension; following successful completion of the probationary period.
