Job Description

Road Freight Operator - Essex - VR/21549The Company & Role:Our client, a leading global logistics service provider based in Essex, is looking for a Road Freight Operator to join their team.Road Freight Operator duties include:

  • Handling European groupage services, predominantly import.
  • Arranging movement of freight from origin to final destination.
  • Dealing with both international and national shipments.
  • Liaising with customers, overseas partners and suppliers.
    • Skills and Experience required for the Road Freight Operator role:
  • Must have a good understanding of European road freight with 1-2 years’ experience.
  • Capable of manually calculating costs and charges / revenue manually – a good understanding of ‘taxable kilos’ is a must.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient.
