Job Description

Experienced LC-MS Chemist wanted with experience in method development.Senior Analytical Chemist (LC-MS)Essex (commutable from Braintree, Southend, Chelmsford and Surrounding areas)Salary - £35,000 - £45,000PermanentSRG is working with a leading chemicals contract research organisation, who offer a wide range of agrochemical studies to UK manufacturers of biocides and pesticides. Based in the Essex area, they have recently started hiring for a new senior member of theiranalytical team. This job would suit someone with extensive experience working with LC-MS in the chemicals industry, preferably in a GLP compliant lab. This is a great opportunity for an experienced analytical chemist looking to make their next step in thechemicals industry with promotion opportunities up to study director level.Benefits: Company bonus and a stakeholder pension scheme. 25 days annual leave + bank holidaysRole Description

  • Analytical study work with LC-MS to identify metabolites and unknown molecules
  • Training and assisting more junior members of staff in analytical techniques
  • Developing analytical methods with LC-MS as well as maintaining and calibrating the equipment
  • Acting independently and insuring studies are carried out effectively and within budget
  • Adhering to GLP standards and act as study director in line with GLP regulations
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years method development experience with LC-MS
  • An experience and understanding of working in a GLP compliant laboratory
  • Ability to develop extraction methods
  • Showing initiative and being able to work independently
  • Full right to work in the UK
