Job Description

Regional Project EngineerLocation: Essex with regular (50%) across South EnglandSalary: £45,000 - £50,000 + car + bonus + benefitsOur client is a leading business in their field who lead the way in sustainability, innovation, and personal development. The client is looking to recruit a forward thinking and innovative Regional Project Engineer to join their Engineering Project Team.The Regional Project Engineer will lead on a handful of key projects within the business, leading from concept to completion, managing contractors, writing specifications, managing budgets, and planning activities. The Regional Project Engineer will be basedin or near Essex but will be expected to travel to sites across Southern England when required. The Project Engineer will plan and organise their own diary, giving autonomy and flexibility in this exciting and varied role.You will need to be highly organised and self-motivated with the flexibility to travel to sites when required. You will be excited at managing a varied range of projects. You will be managing capital projects that improve safety, productivity, reliability,and efficiencies as well as developing and standardising preventative maintenance regimes. You will provide specialist technical & engineering support to the business with emphasis on operational activity.The Role:

  • To manage multi-discipline capital projects at the companys production facilities
  • To provide specialist technical & engineering support to the business with particular emphasis to its operational activities
  • To apply sound theoretical and practical methods to solve a variety of engineering problems
  • To support site management & stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve emerging engineering issues, and implement appropriate plant modifications
  • To identify, evaluate, and implement improvements to safety, productivity, reliability, efficiency, and sustainability on all operational sites
  • To evaluate and apply new and innovative technologies where appropriate.
The Person:
  • Thorough knowledge and application of Engineering Principles & Safety Management Systems
  • Degree/HND/HNC/Time-served level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Project engineering, management of change, and contractor management skills
  • Cost management budgeting & control skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of Process Safety principles and their application
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards covering pressurised equipment, vessels, piping, rotating machinery, fire protection, steam systems, or similar
