Job Description

Trainee Quality Checking Supervisor - Electrical department- South Woodham FerrersSalary - £27k - £32k pa (depending on experience)Hours - Mon - Friday 8:30 - 5pm (1 hour lunch)Benefits -

We are delighted to be supporting our client with the hire of a Test Centre Supervisor for their business based in South Woodham Ferrers.Do you have strong electrical knowledge This role will be supervising 4 members of staff within the Electrical testing Department.You will be required to oversee and manage the MID Centre team, communicate with the stock controller, and ensure that tasks and goals are achieved.Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
  • Ensuring Department targets are achieved.
  • Any shortfalls in performance and results are notified immediately to the Stock Controller.
  • Managing the workload of individuals within the department.
  • Managing staff levels to make sure sufficient staff are available to meet demand.
  • Monitoring efficiency to maximise output, making changes if needed to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure all products leaving the department meet the Companys quality requirements.
  • Completing documentation in relation to MID Certification.
  • Recommend to the Stock Controller any products that should be held in general stock.
  • Make sure the department is run in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Assist with the production and maintenance of test jigs and test equipment.
  • Be responsible for the safe and effective use and maintenance of all equipment provided by the Company.
  • Recommend to the Stock Controller measures which could improve the Companys activities. Highlight non-conformances, inefficiencies, or problems to him.
  • Agree tasks, targets, and objectives with your Line Manager. Take full ownership of these and ensure that your working methods are organised in a way to achieve intended outcomes. Seek advice and/or report difficulties in achieving your objectives withoutdelay to your Line Manager.
  • Liaising with Supplier Coordinator regarding the weeks testing schedule and reporting any issues.
