Plant FitterBased in Essex or SuffolkCompany van and equipment, competitive salary, incentive scheme, contributory pension scheme.Our client is the UK’s largest independently owned building materials group providing into the domestic and commercial market on a national scale.With production plants placed strategically in the South and East of England, the Plant Fitter will be covering the Essex and Suffolk area, visiting plant sites to assist with mechanical shut downs/equipment failure, with the target of getting the plantfully operational as soon as possible.The Plant Fitter will be required to work to their own initiative, carrying out planned maintenance visits as well as responding quickly to reactive repair calls.The right candidate will have a strong knowledge of pneumatic systems as well as fitting, welding and fabrication skills. A company van and equipment will be provided.THE ROLE• We seek a self motivated, pro active, reliable individual who can work on their own initiative, carrying out planned/reactive repairs and maintenance on concrete plants. Experience in the ready- mix concrete industry is desirable but not essential - preferablywith experience of batching plant operations.• Support the Operations Team in maintaining the operations of fixed and mobile plant.• You will also be responsible for ensuring safety, health and environment standards are maintained to requirements.• Ensuring plant downtime is minimised.• Deliver capital spend on time and on budget.THE REQUIREMENTS• Knowledge of pneumatics systems.• Fitting, Welding and Fabrication skills.• Knowledge of appropriate legal SHE standards.• Knowledge of processing plant and equipment.• Literacy and numeracy skills.• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with an understanding for customer requirements.• Full UK driving licence.Interpersonnel are operating as an Employment Agency for our client for this particular role.
